Garden/Landscape Design
Each project, large or small, starts with a consultation. During this time, client goals are discussed and an initial plan is decided upon. If the client decides to move forward with Earth Healer, more specific plans are developed into an agreement/contract. This may include various components of a project or all of it, depending on the client budget and scope of the project. An initial rough drawing while talking to each other is often the beginning! This is followed with more detailed 2-D landscape plans if the client desires those – or if they are required by a permit application. Each plan that includes plant installation also includes a list with information for the client.

Project Install/Build
This is where our team really comes together to bring a client’s vision to reality. We work closely with the client with each project broken into phases and the status shared at the end of each phase. Breaking a project into phases, especially if it involves a larger installation, helps our team and the client assess progress and budget. The projects do not have to be complicated. They can be as simple as plants in a pot appropriate to the space and a clean-up of a simple gravel path.

Maintenance
On completion of a project, we are available to continue to monitor and maintain the project. We also do regular maintenance for gardens/landscapes that we did not install but those in which the client desires assistance. This can range from an annual “clean-up” to regular weekly or bi-weekly maintenance tasks. These include soil testing, weeding, pruning, ongoing plant installation, moving, or removing, and watering. Because we use organic, environmentally safe methods and products, our environmental impact is minimal. We do not do ongoing lawn maintenance such as grass watering and mowing, but will do “clean-up” such as picking up fall leaves.
An example of a simple maintenance project was to prune and provide regular watering for this Japanese maple. These photos were taken about one year apart!
